As one of the activities of the 2025 Sal\u00f3n del Cacao y Chocolate, in its international edition, the competition is organized in collaboration with the \u201cCommittee of the Sal\u00f3n de Cacao y Chocolate.\u201d This group is composed of the following national and international organizations: the Peruvian Association of Cacao Producers (APPCACAO), the National Commission for Development and Life without Drugs (DEVIDA, Ministerio de Desarrollo Agrario y Riego, Ministerio de Comercio Exterior y Turismo, PromPeru, Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores, Ministerio de la Produccion, the Government of the Ucayali Region and the Consorcio Cultural\u00a0del\u00a0Peru.<\/p>\n<p>This contest, the first of its kind in a cacao-producing country, will take place in the historic city of Lima and is open to all organizations, companies and chocolatiers in Peru, accepting the following products: chocolate bars of origin (dark, with milk and white); flavored chocolate bars \u2013 natural flavoring ingredients \u2013 (dark, milk and white) with infusions or powders, with inclusions and fillings, pralines, bonbons, and chocotejas, chocolate-coated fruits, chocolate spreads, and cacao ingredients such as cocoa powder and cocoa butter.<\/p>\n<p>The competition will be carried out according to a duly validated online system and will be in two stages, after receipt and coding of products, 1) General Evaluation, which consists of an appreciation of the products by a heterogeneous group of evaluators (qualified national and international guest judges) 2) Final Evaluation by a highly specialized Grand Jury.<\/p>\n<p>This 10.\u00ba Concurso Nacional de Chocolate Peruano (Tenth National Peruvian Chocolate Competition) constitutes one of the activities of the 2025 Special International Edition of the XV Salon del Cacao y Chocolate and the Awards Ceremony will take place on July 19, 2025.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"thin\" \/>\n<h3>Eligibility<\/h3>\n<p>Open to all Peruvian companies with their main office or headquarters located in Peru. The competition accepts entries from the following types of products: plain\/origin chocolate bars (dark, milk or white); flavored bars (dark, milk or white), with natural flavoring ingredients, with infusions, inclusions, pralines and drage\u00e9s. bonbons, and chocotejas, chocolate-coated fruits, chocolate spreads, and cacao ingredients such as cocoa powder and cocoa butter.<br \/>\nWe are not accepting products with a shelf life of less than two months for this competition in the following categories: ganaches, truffles\/ bonbons, and spreads. We do not accept drinking chocolate and alcoholic drinks with chocolate. The international Chocolate Awards holds a yearly world competition for these products, which is open to producers from all over the world, including Peru.<\/p>\n<p>The Concurso Nacional de Chocolate Peruano is a national semi-final and is thus part of our World Final qualifying series of competitions for 2025. National prizes will be presented in Lima as part of the activities of the Sal\u00f3n del Cacao y Chocolate. Winners of this competition will go through to our World Final 2025 organized in October-November 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The admission fee for this competition is <strong>USD $65<\/strong> and the fee for each entry is <strong>USD $55<\/strong>.
